Dr. Gourav Gupta, MD — Senior Radiation Oncologist
For over sixteen years I have treated patients across Chhattisgarh with modern radiation therapy — combining clinical precision with the human care every family deserves. I also share clear, trustworthy cancer education to help patients understand their journey.
G ★★★★★ 4.9 · 148 Google reviewsBased in Raipur, I bring sixteen years of specialist expertise together with a record of building cancer services, advancing precision radiotherapy, and mentoring the next generation of oncologists.
Trained in radiation oncology at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal — following my MBBS at NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur — I sharpened my expertise at premier institutions including the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi. Over more than sixteen years I have built a reputation for clinical command of the full spectrum of modern radiotherapy, from 3DCRT and IMRT/VMAT to advanced stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS/SBRT). Today I serve as Senior Consultant and Head of Radiation Oncology at Ramkrishna CARE Hospital, Raipur, where I treat on the Elekta Versa HD platform — with Monaco Monte-Carlo planning, the HexaPOD 6D robotic couch and Active Breathing Coordinator (ABC) for heart-sparing precision.
My work has helped shape radiation oncology across Central India. I have established departments from the ground up — from the technical planning of linear accelerators and brachytherapy systems through to AERB approvals — commissioning two cancer centres, and I lead a DNB (Radiation Oncology) training programme that is preparing the next generation of specialists. I contribute peer-reviewed research in radiation physics and clinical oncology, and serve as Joint Secretary of the AROI Madhya Pradesh–Chhattisgarh chapter.
Through it all, my focus stays on the patient. I believe people heal better when they understand their illness, which is why I explain cancer, treatment, and prevention in clear, plain language for patients, caregivers, and the wider community. At Ramkrishna CARE Hospital, I am bringing this blend of expertise and compassion to even more families across the region.
